PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WATE) — Two people are injured after they were hit by a vehicle while crossing the road at an intersection in Pigeon Forge Friday night.

The Pigeon Forge Police Department reported that around 9:37 p.m., officers responded to a crash involving two pedestrians at the intersection of U.S. 441 and East Wears Valley Road.

According to police, the pedestrians were crossing the northbound traffic lanes and were not in a crosswalk when they were struck. Both pedestrians were taken to UT Medical Center.

The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and is fully cooperating with officers, Pigeon Forge Police said.
