Saucon Valley High School junior quarterback Braden Rohn was intercepted by Bangor junior Jon-Erik Ingram three minutes into Friday night’s season opener to stop a Panthers’ drive.

Rohn was not happy about that. The Saucon Valley junior then made sure to avoid mistakes the rest of the game and put together an impressive offensive display in the Panthers’ 42-21 home victory over the Slaters.

The Saucon Valley signal-caller ran for 155 yards and three touchdowns on 20 attempts. Rohn also completed 11 of 20 passes for 158 yards to go with one touchdown and an interception.

“I think, obviously, Braden. I think his leadership. Braden has grown a tremendous amount and he proved it,” Panthers coach Anthony Brinkley said. “He threw a pick first. And you know what, he just did not get down.
