It may have been the busiest Friday afternoon ever at the Francis X. Bellotti Courthouse in Quincy — certainly in August.
The hacks couldn’t even take an early slide to the Cape, they were so nervous and discombobulated. The cops had brought in a millionaire perp and maybe for the first time ever in Norfolk County, the hackerama couldn’t fix the case.
The defendant was a $160,000-a-year Boston fire lieutenant named Joshua Thompson. The sheriff transported him to the courthouse in handcuffs from the county jail in Dedham, where he’s been locked up since Wednesday.
From gold bars to behind bars — don’t they know who Lt. Thompson is, and more importantly who he’s related to?
The judges certainly knew. They all ran away from his dangerousness hearing, citing the traditional “connections.”
