PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A flight bound for Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport was forced to divert and land after a fire was reported in the main cabin, officials say.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, American Airlines Flight 357 landed safely at Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia around 11:50 a.m. EST.

American Airlines officials say crew members reported smoke coming from a “customer’s device.” The FAA added that staff said the fire was coming from “one of the passenger rows.”

The fire was quickly contained by crew members before landing.
