KALAMAZOO, MI -- A precautionary boil water advisory was issued early Saturday after a water main broke in Kalamazoo.
The City of Kalamazoo is in the process of repairing a water main break on Mount Olivet Road, which resulted in a loss of pressure, officials said in a Aug. 23 release. As a precautionary measure, residents in the area are asked to boil all water meant for drinking, cooking or other consumption.
Testing has not confirmed bacteria in the water, officials said. City officials may collect water samples directly from local residents.

Both sides of Mount Olivet Road from Spring Valley Drive to roughly 2,150 feet west. It does not include the northwest corner of Mount Olivet Road and Barclay Drive and the northeast corner of Mount Olivet Road and O
