DUBLIN, Ireland (KWWL) -- A fourth down conversion put the game on ice as No. 22 Iowa State picked up a massive 24-21 season opening win over No. 17 Kansas State in Ireland. Facing fourth and three at the Kansas State 16 yard line, Rocco Becht found Carson Hansen on a screen that gained a game clinching first down and ended just shy of the goal line.
The play capped off a game that was dominated by the defenses in the rain-soaked early going, leading to a 7-7 tie at halftime.
