A heat advisory was released by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 1:56 p.m. in effect until Sunday at 9 p.m. for East Slopes of the Oregon Cascades and Wallowa County.
"Hot conditions with temperatures up to 95 degrees expected. This will pose a moderate risk of heat-related illness," describes the weather service. "An alternative scenario is lingering cloud cover from possible thunderstorms from southern Oregon may result in lower than forecast afternoon temperatures or higher than forecast overnight low temperatures."
"Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses," says the weather service.
