CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — The West Virginia Italian Heritage Festival is fast approaching in Clarksburg, and the excitement kicked off with a pasta cook-off at Jackson Square on Saturday.
Cooks from across the area gathered to showcase their culinary skills, with the public serving as judges for the best sauces.
"Every family feels that their pasta and sauce is the best," said West Virginia Italian Heritage Festival chairman Bill Boyles. "So this gives them an opportunity to compete against other families to see who's the best and it's just a matter of opinion, you know how that is."
