Syracuse, N.Y. — Jonah Tong continued an electric start to his Triple-A career, guiding the Syracuse Mets to a 4-0 win over the Indianapolis Indians on Saturday night at NBT Bank Stadium.

Tong, in front of an electric crowd of 7,144 fans, pitched six scoreless innings and struck out eight batters. He hasn’t allowed a run in 11-plus innings pitched while in Triple-A.

After a scoreless first inning, Syracuse got its offense going in the bottom of the second inning.

Luke Ritter and Joey Meneses both drew walks. Next, Yonny Hernandez singled to load the bases for Ali Sanchez, who grounded into a fielder’s choice to score Ritter and give the Mets a 1-0 lead.
