A dog named Finn is safely back with his family after firefighters in Ventura County freed him from a precarious spot under a shipping container in Ojai.

The rescue happened Friday evening, after Ventura County Fire dispatchers received a call at about 7:45 p.m. reporting an animal in distress, according to a post from the department on X (formerly Twitter).

When crews arrived, they found Finn wedged beneath the large metal container. Using heavy rescue equipment, including holmatro lifting bags typically employed in vehicle or structural rescues, firefighters carefully raised the container enough to pull him out.
