KALAMAZOO, Mich. — "I feel like I just need hope," Zoe Reyes said from the lobby of Western Michigan University's Miller Auditorium, "because I feel like I'm feeling really down, not knowing what to do."
And Saturday, Reyes came looking for hope in the area she’s called home for a long time. Her search came amidst what she feels is something deeply wrong in her country.
"We've been at an oligarchal state for a very long time, because all of the power that we've had for a very long time when it comes to money and when it comes to wealth have been in the hands of the billionaires of the 1%," Reyes said.
