One dead five shot in Bronx gunfire eruption near Burke Avenue
Bronx, NY – A second mass shooting incident has been reported in New York City. This comes days after 12 people were shot and 3 killed in Brooklyn.
A Saturday evening burst of gunfire at the intersection of Burke Avenue and Wickham Avenue left one man dead, a teenage girl clinging to life, and four others wounded, as chaos unfolded in broad daylight within the confines of the 47th Precinct.
Just before 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call about multiple people shot and arrived to find a 32-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest and a 17-year-old girl shot in the face. Both victims were rushed to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi, where the man was later pronounced dead. The teen remains in critical condition.
