Firefighters remain at a Scots field inferno over 16 hours since it started. ‌

Fire crews raced to the farmland in East Lothian on Saturday August 23. The following day smoke could still be seen for miles. ‌

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) received the initial call at around 6.50pm. ‌

They remained at the scene into Sunday afternoon, reports Edinburgh Live .

Three appliances were dispatched to tackle the fire.

According to locals, the blaze just off FIshersgate Road as you leave Cockenzie, was 'growing so fast'. ‌

It's understood no injuries have been sustained in the blaze.
