STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WTAJ) — State College families took a trip back in time to visit the days when the dinosaurs roamed the earth.

Dinosaur Adventure has set up shop at C3 Sports Complex to showcase the lives of dinosaurs. Life-sized animatronic creatures, exhibits and other activities awaited children inside to learn more about the prehistoric beasts, which parents enjoy due to the vast lack of natural history museums in the area.

"I love that we were able to go somewhere so close to home to see stuff like this," visitor Bethany Illig said. "There's a lot of times we have to travel, so we were definitely excited to be able to come so close to home for all of us."

The expo runs until Sunday at 7 p.m.
