A chef with a national audience for his cooking videos is opening a restaurant in downtown Crown Point in a few months.
Billy Parisi has amassed millions of social media followers. He’s a classically trained culinary school grad whose ancestors hail from Sicily. He worked in high-end restaurants and then at a Chicago media company, making videos for Lettuce Entertainment restaurants like Big Bowl.
During COVID, he started making YouTube videos teaching cooking. A sourdough bread video went viral. He ended up with 860,000 YouTube subscribers.
Parisi teaches viewers classical French and Italian cooking, applying fine dining techniques to home cooking.
