WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (WTNH) — After falling to Nevada in the US Championship, Fairfield National beat Aruba 4-2 in the third-place game of the Little League World Series on Sunday.

After a scoreless first two innings, Fairfield scored three runs on a wild pitch sequence followed by a double from SJ Taxiltaridis. Taxiltaridis then scored on another wild pitch bringing the score to 3-0 heading to the bottom of the third.

In the bottom of the third, Aruba came back with a single, triple and ground out to bring the score to 3-2.

Things remained unchanged until the top of the sixth, when a walk and single brought Taxiltaridis home on a ground out.

Two strikeouts from Tommy D'Amura sealed the game and Fairfield National took home third place.
