A motorcycle rider was killed Saturday night, when police said his Harley-Davidson veered into the opposite lane and struck another vehicle head-on.

Ishavpreet Singh, 36, of Guttenberg, was riding southbound on State Highway 23 in Wantage Township , Sussex County, when he crossed over the yellow center line and collided with a southbound Ford pickup, New State Police spokesman Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said.

Singh was killed in the crash, which occurred near milepost 47.9, said Lebron.

He said the driver and the one passenger in the pickup suffered minor injuries.

The incident remained under investigation Sunday.
