FARGO — The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks have acquired another American Association baseball All-Star who is one of the top base stealers in the league.

The RedHawks traded for Gary SouthShore outfielder Jairus Richards in exchange for outfielder Hunter Clanin and a player to be named later. The deal was announced Saturday.

The 28-year-old Richards played for the East Division squad during July's American Association All-Star game that was played at Newman Outdoor Field in Fargo.

In 82 games with the RailCats, Richards batted .247 with 21 doubles, two triples, 10 home runs and 37 RBIs. He is second in the American Association with 52 stolen bases entering Sunday's games.
