PRICEVILLE, Ala. ( WAFF ) - A man was arrested in Priceville on several drug charges and for endangering a child, according to Priceville Police.

On Sunday, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Priceville Police officers executed a traffic stop on Interstate 65 near the 334-mile marker. The vehicle was occupied by two adults and an eight-year-old child.

Authorities said following the initial traffic stop, probable cause was established, which warranted a search of the vehicle.

During the search, officers said they discovered a quantity of a liquid synthetic opioid and fentanyl mixture, marijuana, and a firearm inside the vehicle.

Leshawn Demetrius Tate, 36, of Birmingham, was arrested and taken to the Morgan County Jail. He is facing multiple charges, including trafficking in dangerous drugs
