JEROME, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Jerome School District will reopen schools on Monday after canceling classes last week due to transportation issues.
Superintendent Brent Johnson confirmed to KMVT that the district will be back open for Monday. The school district had to cancel school on Thursday and Friday due to “safety concerns regarding student transportation.”
Johnson said they have spent the last week and this weekend reviewing what happened and adding additional measures to ensure smooth operations. This includes having AirTags available for the students to better keep track of them, preparing bus drivers and updating maps and routes.
The school district hopes things to go much smoother this week, according to Johnson.
