BUCHANAN, Wis. (WBAY) - Multiple fire departments responded to a fire in a silo in the Town of Buchanan on Saturday.
The Buchanan Fire Department was dispatched to County Trunk Z just before 10 a.m. Saturday for a report of silage burning in a concrete silo.
They called in fire departments from Greenleaf, Hollandtown, and Wrightstown for personnel and fire trucks, and began attacking the fire and limiting the spread of it. The additional departments were released from the scene in about three hours, and the Buchanan Fire Department left the scene about three and a half hours later.
There are no estimated damage or loss figures as of now, according to the Buchanan Fire Department.
The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office and Fox Valley Metro Police Department assisted in this incident.
