GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Dozens of faith leaders and community members came together on Sunday to show support for migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers.
The interfaith prayer service, called “A Bridge Is Stronger Than a Wall”, took place at St. James Park in Green Bay.
Despite the rain, the prayer service went on as planned inside the bandshell at the park.
Clergy, spiritual leaders, and community members shared scripture readings, personal testimonies, and sang music together, all centered on compassion and hospitality.
The prayer service was organized by Migration Advocacy of Brown County and JOSHUA’s Spiritual Leaders Caucus, hoping to unite people of different backgrounds.
