TOWN OF FREEDOM, Wis. (WBAY) - One person suffered serious injuries after a crash on State Highway 55 in Freedom on Sunday.

Around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Outagamie County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the intersection of Highway 55 and Greiner Road in the Town of Freedom for a report of a two-car crash.

Deputies conducted an investigation on-scene and say that one car, driven by a 57-year-old woman from Pulaski, was traveling north on State Highway 55 when a second car, driven by a 26-year-old man and traveling west on Greiner Road, failed to stop for the stop sign at the intersection and struck the first car.

The driver of the first car was seriously injured, and both drivers were taken to nearby hospitals by Gold Cross ambulance.
