MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) -- An investigation is underway following a pedestrian crash outside of a Murfreesboro grocery store Sunday evening.

The Murfreesboro Police Department said the "serious injury crash" took place shortly before 6 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 24 in the parking lot of the Kroger along S. Church Street.

According to officials, the incident involved a vehicle and a pedestrian.

No additional details have been released about the circumstances surrounding this crash.
