TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) — A child is fighting for their life after being pulled from a pool in Tempe.

Details are limited.

Around 8 p.m. on Sunday, officers responded to the area of Baseline and Rural roads for reports of a drowning. Officials say the child was taken to the hospital and remains in critical condition.

It is unclear how old the child is or how long they were in the water for.

This is the second child pulled from a backyard pool in the Valley today. The first was a 9-year-old boy who is in critical condition after he was pulled from a pool in Buckeye.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
