PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A big weather change begins today for Arizona. Today and tomorrow are First Alert Weather Days in the Valley for increased rain and thunderstorm chances.
The monsoon weather pattern is ramping up for a few days, thanks to a ridge of high pressure to our northeast and a trough of low pressure off the California coast. The two features are working together to increase the flow of moisture into Arizona from the southeast. Humidity levels and storm chances will be up the next few days, while temperatures take a dip.
