PHOENIX (AZFamily) — For many people, a home is something they work their entire lives to buy. It is a place of safety and comfort.

Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes says two people took advantage of that, operating a predatory real estate operation that targeted elderly Arizonans in financial distress.

On Monday, the AG announced a new lawsuit against Edward Trenton Albarracin, a.k.a. Trenton Edwards, and Gretchen Marie Zamjahn, a.k.a. Gretchen Edwards, along with more than 50 shell companies they reportedly controlled. The lawsuit alleges that the defendants operated under several misleading names, like “Hands with Hope,” and advertised themselves as professionals who could save homeowners from foreclosure.
