LINDEN, N.C. (WTVD) -- Authorities are searching for a driver who led troopers on a chase through Harnett County on Sunday.
According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, troopers in Harnett County attempted to stop a vehicle on Horseshoe Bend Road just before 4 p.m. The driver refused to stop, and a chase began.
Troopers said the driver then went into the Town of Linden on NC Highway 217 and drove onto Collier's Chapel Chruch Road, where he lost control and hit a ditch on the right side of the road.
The driver then drove back into the road before the car became disabled. Authorities said the driver then jumped out of the car and ran away on foot.
Troopers said a passenger inside the vehicle was given aid following the incident.
No other details have been released.
