Tiffany Tyler never gave up hope that she would one day see her son again.

Zakchiria Tyler, 21, had been reported missing on July 31, 2021, and since then, his family had rarely received updates about their son's case.

That changed on March 24, 2025, when Tiffany Tyler received a knock on her door. On the other side was the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department detective assigned to her son's case and a representative from the Marion County Coroner's Office.

"At that moment, I knew. I knew he was gone," Tyler said.
