(WJW) - The start of the week will feel and look a lot more like fall than summer! Temperatures will struggle to hit 70 degrees on Monday afternoon.
The cooler air moving over the relatively warm lake along a cold front will trigger scattered lake effect rain showers Monday through Monday night. Expect some pockets of heavy rain locally this evening. Overall coverage will be under 30-40%.
A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY will be in effect Sunday night through Monday evening. Lake Erie will be rather choppy during this time, with waves 2 to 4 feet plus. Plus, the weather conditions will be favorable for the development of waterspouts. A BEACH HAZARD STATEMENT has also been posted due to the high risk of rip currents. Swimmers are urged to stay out of the water.
