LANGDON, Kan. (KSNW) -- Two teenagers were hurt in a crash in Reno County on Sunday.

It happened shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Kansas Highway 61, just east of Laredo Road between Langdon and Arlington. The Kansas Highway Patrol says a 17-year-old driver and her 15-year-old passenger were heading southwest on the highway in a Ford Escape when, for an unknown reason, the SUV skidded to the right.

The SUV left the road and crashed into the railroad embankment. The SUV rolled before coming to a stop facing north.

EMS took both girls to Hutchinson Regional Hospital for treatment. Troopers say the driver had minor injuries, while the 15-year-old had potentially serious injuries.
