At least one person had to be extricated from a DART bus after it crashed Monday morning, according to Dallas Fire-Rescue.

DFR was dispatched at 5:46 a.m. to the parking lot of White Rock DART Rail Station located at 7333 E. Northwest Highway, after reports of an accident.

Upon arrival, on-scene personnel found that a DART bus had crashed into a tree at the scene, according to the initial report.

The bus operator and four passengers were transported to a hospital, according to DART.

On the scene, NBC 5 reports at least three tow trucks attempting to pull the bus off the stairs. White Rock DART Rail Station It is unclear what caused the crash, and investigaitons are ongoing, DART said.
