CREVE COEUR ( 25News Now ) - Several Tazewell County fire departments rushed to the scene of a Sunday morning house fire in Creve Coeur that displaced two people and their dogs.
Creve Coeur Fire Chief Roger Ristow said his department was called about 9:05 a.m. to the home in the 200 block of Margaret Drive.
The chief said the fire was in the living room, but there was heat and smoke damage elsewhere in the home.
The residents and their two dogs were not injured, but Ristow said the American Red Cross is helping them find temporary housing.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Ristow said the Creve Coeur Fire Department received mutual aid from East Peoria, Marquette Heights, and North Pekin firefighters.
