Concerned residents, supporters and family of Marchello Woodard gathered at Abundant Life Ministries Church to have a community conversation with a statewide advocacy group.

The Pennsylvania Legislative Black Caucus (PLBC) met with community members to listen and have a discussion about the shooting death of Marchello Woodard that took place on July 2. His life was taken by a Pennsylvania state parole agent.

PLBC is a publicly driven advocacy vehicle for minority communities across the commonwealth that is made up of state representatives and senators.

Napoleon Nelson, the chair of the PLBC, said one of their goals as lawmakers is to hear from residents on how their group can help repair a trust that was broken between the community and law enforcement.
