LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - The City of Lake Charles will be holding a Back-to-School Hygiene Products drive to help local schools distribute those products as needed to students during the school year.

Residents can drop off donations from Aug. 25 through Sept. 15 at the Lake Charles City Hall (326 Pujo St.) during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

New and unused items being accepted include:

Deodorant

Bar soap

Lotion

Hairbrushes and combs,

Shampoo

Toothbrushes and toothpaste

Floss

Socks

Feminine hygiene products

Smaller, travel-sized items are preferred for ease of storage and distribution to students.
