MALTA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A man and a woman from Malta have been arrested and charged in connection with an animal cruelty investigation. Tosha Jerome, 41, and Christopher Terry, 43, both face three counts of overdriving, torturing, and injuring animals with failure to provide proper sustenance.

The pair were accused of keeping three Cane Corso dogs in unsafe and unsanitary conditions, per the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office. The animals were seized and are being taken care of by the Saratoga County Animal Shelter.

Jerome and Terry were released with appearance tickets for a later date in Malta Town Court.
