FRANKLIN, Ky. – A Mississippi man is facing charges after allegedly leaving the scene of a wreck in Simpson County.

According to a uniform citation, Franklin police responded around 10:22 p.m. Friday to a hit-and-run vehicle collision at TA Truck Service.

Authorities say a tractor-trailer had driven through the truck service bay and hit two concrete barriers, which caused severe damage to the building.

The citation states it was reported the truck driver had fled the scene.

Upon arrival, police say a witness confirmed the collision had occurred and that the truck almost rolled inside of the building. Authorities say they were told the truck also almost hit several vehicles when exiting the building.
