BOX ELDER CO. — One week after two Tremonton police officers were shot and killed while responding to a domestic violence call, two Box Elder High School students held a lemonade stand to raise money for the officers’ families.

17-year-old Kaden and 15-year-old Carson Kimber spent the last few days of summer preparing for the fundraiser to help Sergeant Lee Sorensen and Officer Eric Estrada’s families.

Their mother, Sherrie Kimber, said the boys handled the fundraiser on their own.

“I worked the night shift, came home, and first thing Kaden said was, ‘Mom, we are doing a lemonade stand, we’re going to help these guys,'” Sherrie said.

The deadly incident hit the Kimber family hard. Sherrie’s father is a retired member of law enforcement.

“You are family for life forever,” Sherrie said.
