SOMERS, Conn. (WFSB) - Emergency crews respond to crash in Somers on Monday afternoon.

At around 1:45 p.m. firefighters were called to the intersection of Route 83 and Route 190 after a report of a motor vehicle crash, the fire department said.

When crews arrived, they found a car collision along with a trapped occupant.

Firefighters quickly were able to safely remove the individual from the vehicle.

The person was transported to a nearby hospital to treat their injuries.

This incident remains under investigation at this time.

No further details were released.
