25-year-old artist paints mural celebrating Vernon

VERNON, Conn. (WFSB) - A mural on the wall of a Vernon business celebrates life in town.

It’s located right at the Tri Towne Lube & Repairs on Route 83.

The mural was painted by a 25-year-old local artist who attended Vernon Middle School and Rockville High School.

It took 160 hours to paint, and incorporate images of various landmarks like Vernon Circle in the Keystone Tunnel.

The paint actually came from Rocky’s Ace Hardware located next door of the business.
