HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - The United States Department of Transportation is now awarding more than $7 million in federal funding for local Connecticut airports.
Bradley International Airport and Tweed New Haven Airport will each get a share of the funding.
Officials said this money will go toward runway projects aimed at making these two airports, safer, more reliable and more comfortable for all travelers.
Eyewitness News received a statement from the Connecticut Congressional delegation on the federal funding that reads:
