Evansville City Council members expect to vote on a newe Wheel Tax at tonight’s meeting. Approval is expected, with revenue from the tax going to road repairs. If it does pass, vehicle registration would cost an additional $25 a year — motorcycles $15, and trucks $35 a year. City leaders believe the tax would bring in about $2.7 million to fix roads.
