LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

The last day of summer is Sept. 22, but the folks at Blackacre Nature Preserve are inviting the community to celebrate the end of the season a little earlier.

This Saturday, from 9 a.m. until noon, the historic homestead will host the Farm Animal Feeding End-of-Summer Celebration. According to Dennis Craig, the executive director of the preserve, there will be plenty to enjoy.

"We will have antique tractors on display, we will have our barrel train out, and kids will be allowed to ride in it," Craig said. "We will have some music going on, and we will have concession stands set up."

The preserve is home to horses, a few cows, and goats—some of which are trained to race this Saturday.
