Duncan was just 6 years old when Katrina hit.
She spoke with her mother about how their family handled evacuating with young children.
Duncan's mother also spoke about the decision to have her start school with her cousins in Texas, as well as the lengths they went to shield her from the images on television showing the storm's destruction.
