In a fresh outburst of anger, US President Donald Trump accused ABC and NBC of broadcasting "biased" information and being "liars," threatening to shut down those media outlets that don't comply with his demands.

In an unusual statement for an American president, Trump accused the media of being "a branch of the Democratic Party," saying they should lose their broadcast licenses.

He added, as is his custom, that these media outlets are "a real threat" to American democracy because of their alleged ideological bias.

“Despite sky-high popularity and, according to many, being among the best, in eight months of presidential history, ABC and NBC 'fake news,' two of the worst and most biased networks in history, give me 97% bad news,” he complained on his Truth Social platform.
