People who live in Cherry Street Lofts parking lot in Bridgeport were victims of a car break in spree over the weekend. It’s a recurring nightmare haunting tenants at the apartment complex. Tenants tell Fox61 this has been almost routine for the apartment building for years, and now they’re calling for something to be done.
“Since I’ve been here, at least six times between my car and my girlfriend’s car has been hit,” said Deavon Buster.
Buster, who’s lived at Cherry Street Lofts for three years, has needed to shell out thousands of dollars in window repairs due to the break ins.
“I have to pay about 700 for two cars. Each time it’s about the same. Times that by six and you get how much I pay,” said Buster.
The last break in spree was around December of 2024 when a
