FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Students were visibly shaken up by the active shooter alert at the University of Arkansas (U of A) in Fayetteville on Aug. 25, but officials later said there were no injuries and no evidence of a shooting .

U of A Police Department Assistant Chief Matt Mills said they received reports of either a suspect or shots fired in seven different buildings on campus, including Mullins Library, 1021 Food Hall, the Windgate Art and Design District, Pat Walker Health Center, Fine Arts Center, Old Main, and Humphreys Hall. After investigating these reports, police did not find any active threats on campus.
