SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. -- The Sun Prairie School District appointed Isaac Sung after Steve Urso resigned in July.

Sun Prairie Area School District says that Urso resigned because of medical reasons.

Sung is a software engineer and a dad in Sun Prairie. He joined the board to bring more transparency to the district. News 3 Now spoke to Sung before a school board meeting on Monday.

During Monday's school board meeting, the board announced that its School Board President, Katey Kamoku, stepped down. SPASD says Kamoku resigned to focus on her family.
