AUBURN — In three days, Auburn football will put a crooked number into its 2025 record, starting its season with a road matchup against Baylor on Friday. (7 p.m. CT, FOX)

It's the first time in a long time — 23 years, to be exact — that the Tigers begin the season on the road. It's also the first time in five seasons the year begins with a Power Four matchup, and it's bound to set the table for a pivotal year, both for Hugh Freeze and the program.

With a loss, Auburn 's in precarious position, needing two victories against Group of Five programs before beginning SEC play with two consecutive road trips.
