Two seasons of one-win records after a decade of winning at least seven games prompted a change. So first, the Aggies fired former head coach Vincent Brown in December. NC A&T turned to former assistant Shawn Gibbs within the same week to restore the program.
Eight months of offseason rebuilding later, Gibbs stood at a podium inside the school’s Student Center on Monday and offered the first glimpse of the 2025 Aggies to media and alumni ahead of their season-opener against Tennessee State on Saturday.
“It’s a process,” Gibbs said. “We’re building a program. We’re trying to get back to where we belong, and it’s going to take time. But the only thing you can focus on is getting better each day.”
